The Big Picture

Rohit Sharma helped himself to yet another hundred- 22nd in ODI cricket, but sans any support from the top-order barring MS Dhoni's patient 96-ball-51 could not take his side home as India lost the first ODI at the Sydney Cricket Ground to Australia by 34 runs.

India's run-chase got off to a horror start as they lost three of their four top-order wickets including Shikhar Dhawan for a golden duck and skipper Virat Kohli for three after he chipped a flick straight to square-leg. At 3-4, Rohit and Dhoni spearheaded the run-chase with a 137-run stand but Dhoni's wicket gave Australia the opening as Rhot, despite scoring his 22nd ODI ton ran out of partners and eventually fell to Marcus Stoinis to give the hosts a 34-run win at the SCG.

Here are all the numbers from Rohit Sharma's stupendous 133 at the Sydney Cricket Ground:-
