Charminar

Hussain Sagar Lake

Hussain Sagar Lake Hyderabad 

A popular picnic spot, Hussain Sagar Lake is elegance with added serenity on top. Also known as the largest man-made lake, Hussain Sagar Lake is an abode for recreational activities. A statue of Lord Buddha hails from right at the centre of the lake and some refer to it as the Tank Bund. The lake offers a plentitude of attractions, ranging from a 3 km wide dam that connects Hyderabad to Secunderabad, to activities like boat rides, water sports, fish culture and a lot more. Owing to its impeccable shape, the lake has been given the name: Heart of the World’!

Golconda Fort

Golconda Fort Hyderabad 

A group of ruins blissfully addressing to the past with it's glorious and extremely rich heritage, Golconda fort is merely a 9km drive from Hussain Sagar Lake. Spanning an area 3km wide and around 4.8km in length, the sight of the Golconda fort is no less than a treat to the eye. A mystifying fact about the fort is that if a person is standing in the middle of the fort and claps their hands, the sound resonates all the way to the hilltop. Intrigued? You should be, after all the distance between the two is one km. As well as music halls and mounted cannons, Golconda Fort is also a popular picnic spot. Be entertained by the alluring light and sound show held after dawn, painting the history of the fort.

Well, the city is practically known as the food hub of the country. So it would not be fair that you make a visit to Hyderabad and not try its world famous street food. The street near Charminar circle is called Pather Ghatti Street, and the famous thing of the street is the cutting chai with biscuits and the buttery nankahtais and kharies. If you want to savour the taste of original street food in Hyderabad, then you must visit the food area near Golkonda Fort. Other famous lip-smacking dishes include sardarji chaat, Lakshman ki bandi, Palamuru Grill and not forgetting the famous ice cream that can be found at Mozamjahi Market, which is served in various forms.

Chilkur Balaji Temple

In the list of places to visit in Hyderabad, one of the favourite pilgrim spots is the Chilkur Balaji Temple, which is located at a distance of the 30 kilometres from the main city. The temple is situated on the river bank near the Vikarabad Road. It is one of the oldest temples in Telangana. The temple is quite famous and has witnessed a footfall of almost 1 lakh people including many a famous face.

The mosque is located near Charminar bus stand so people can hop on the bus and can directly come to visit the divine shrine. Apart from its divine aura, the architect of the mosque has done a remarkable job, which is reflected in the intricate and detailed design. There is a vast pond nearby, and the belief is that if anyone sits on the bench nearby once, he/she will visit this beautiful place again in their lifetime
